Bas Savenije
Bas Savenije graduated in philosophy in 1977 and has vast experience in governance and management. His experience is in strategic policy making, organisational change, information management and planning & control.
Until January 2015 he was director general of the KB, National Library of the Netherlands. He is the chairman of the Dutch Lewis Carroll Society.
His main interest is in the information society and the influence of information technology on social processes and on the development of individual citizens. A point of particular interest is the free and unlimited accessibility of scholarly publications (Open Access).
